What is a Design Practitioner?

Design practitioners must satisfy eligibility requirements to register for the Design and Building Practitioners scheme (‘the scheme’). The design practitioner is responsible for preparing regulated designs and declaring that the designs comply with the Building Code of Australia and other relevant standards. (Currently applies to Class 2,3 & 9)

What is a Building Practitioner?

Registered building practitioners are responsible for lodging regulated designs and design compliance declarations on the NSW Planning Portal. A registered design practitioner must create regulated designs for building work under the Design and Building Practitioners legislation. (Currently applies to Class2,3 & 9)
